About Me

I'm a very optimistical person and always try to stay positive. Meeting the world with a smile :D

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like the idea of both sharing and social interaction. You get a way better insight on peoples everyday life and how things work.

Interests

I like cooking and food related stuff. Since I'm vegan and care more about what I eat, cooking became more important to me.

I'm really into movies. I worked at a cinema with 35mm film. And there is such a big variety of movies! I like watching movies with subtitles if possible. Meet me at the 'Berlinale' (International Filmfestival Berlin).

Music takes a big part in my life, too. I'm playing in an Action-Samba-Band which is quite political and I try to get some nice sounds out of my guitar, but that's improvable ;-)

Furthermore I'm interested in how people or communities manage their everyday life. How are they organized and how do they communicate.
I am participating in cooperative structures. Participation and 'moving things' is very important to me, always with regard to a bigger picture.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music never gets old!
Mostly I'm listening to the good old 60s-80s Rock/Funk/Blues/Folk like Police/Syl Johnson/Janis Joplin/Donovan. But some newer stuff sounds great, too, like Moby, Nils Frahm, Eddie Vedder, ...
I often listen to soundtracks, somehow they catch me when I'm watching movies.

My favourite book for quite a while now is "Die 13 1/2 Leben des Käpt'n Blaubär" (english title: the 13 1/2 lives of captain bluebear). Fantastic book - fits children as well as 'grown-ups'.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiking is always amazing. Being out in the nature with silence around.
