To conquer Europe by bike

ABOUT ME

I work as a music teacher in Lahden yhteiskoulu secondary and upper secondary school.

I'm also a musician playing various stringed instruments such as guitar, bass, mandolin, irish bouzouki and so on. Our band Vimmafolk plays folk music influenced by finnish, nordic and irish folk music traditions.

Cycling is my passion! As a counterbalance to music I pedal a lot. This summer I execute my long time dream to pedal trough Europe by bike.

During winters I work as a skiing instructor in skiing resort Himos about 45km to SW from Jyväskylä.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've just started, but my friends have travelled and hosted CS pals. Summer 2009 I had a bike tour with many CS experiences and summer 2010 I rode in the Dolomites for a week and a half couch surfing some nights. 2011 during my bike trip I surfed a few times.

As a music teacher I like almost any kind of well done and made music despite genres. But the most enjoyable music for me is Nordic folk music, progressive rock from 70's and renaissance choral polyphony.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

If you visit me during winter I can teach you to ski. Music such as guitar playing is not possible to learn instantly but if you want I can show you the basics.
