À propos de moi

CURRENT MISSION

To live out my dreams!

ABOUT ME

I'm laid back, positive, open minded, adventurous and inquisitive! I'll try anything twice.

This summer I will be working for the US Forest Service Rocky Mountain Research Station conducting stream surveys in the mountains of western Montana. The schedule has us camping in the backcountry for 8 days, then 6 days off. I'm planning to travel during the time off, and, hopefully, do a little couchsurfing! Most of the time I'll likely be camping and climbing, but somewhere with a roof and a shower might be nice from time to time.

I spent several months last summer and fall backpacking, mountaineering, and climbing, covering hundreds of miles in the Olympic Peninsula, Mt. Rainier, Yellowstone, Devils Tower, Red Rock Canyon, and the Grand Tetons. During the winter, I backpacked solo through Egypt for a couple of months and traveled in Israel.

Here are some photos from those travels:

CLIMBING PARTNERS NEEDED!!!! I'd like to spend most of my 6 day weekends rock climbing and mountaineering. I'm experienced with long, multipitch rock climbs and I'd like to get some more experience with glacier travel. I'm comfortable leading 5.9/easy 5.10 and I hope to push that this summer. Might be up for some sport climbing from time to time. Some places I have in mind are: Glacier NP, Banff, Bugaboos, Cascades, Rocky Mountain NP, Mt. Rainier, Moab, Squamish, Devils Tower, Grand Tetons, Wind Rivers.

PHILOSOPHY

Live the Life you Love! Follow the golden rule. Never stop learning. Be grateful for all experiences in life

Free soloed the Grand Teton, upper Exum Ridge. Spent 5 days on a sailboat down the Nile river. Almost got killed by a poisonous fish scuba diving in the Red Sea. Spent 4 months on a wildlife refuge radio tagging fish and tracking their movement up to 20 miles a day on foot and flying in little single prop airplanes.
