CURRENT MISSION
Curt is making efforts to increase his serendipity quotient.
PHILOSOPHY
If you are not having fun, that is to say, enjoying yourself being who you are, doing what you are doing, then you should change either what you are doing or how you are perceiving it. Even the tragedies of our lives are times of great experience that must be lived as fully as the best times. May the best times live on.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have had some non-CS couch surfing in my life. Opportunity presents itself in some great times and places, with great people taking the initiative.
Interests
Walking, Backpacking, dancing - any way to move my feet. I am particularly fond of bearing the burden of a backpack. Simply feeling the weight of my 'home' on my back gives me a touch of elation. I like walking to exhaustion and beyond, dancing to the same.
Languages. I am a dabbler at best, but I love languages and I can grasp the basics rather quickly. I love the cognates and other connections from one language to the next.
I cook everyday for most of our meals. Some day I will cook all day. I like to taste the flavors of each place I visit and try to recreate them at home.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: some movies are enjoyable because they give you something to engage your eyes and ears for a while. I like these. Some movies make me gasp for air between side-splitting laughs. I like these as well.
Music: Can I dance to it? If so, then I like it. Does it move me physically or emotionally? If so, I like it. Can I observe others truly enjoying it? If so, then I probably like it.
Books: I've been a fiction reader for some time, preferring sci-fi & fantasy. I like interesting worlds and characters.
I'll read about food and cooking as well. I like to read a thorough cookbook from start to... dessert.
I have a special affection for Paulo Coehlo's books. They seem to come into my life at moments that are somehow related to the content.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A dying butterfly clinging to life bolstered my courage to cross a difficult bridge. I carried it as it clung to my hand. As I reached the other side, it came to life and flew off.
