ABOUT ME

I am a direct descendant of the Scottish Freedom Fighter; The Great William Wallace, as well as the famous explorer; Sir Francis Drake. I believe it's important to know where we came from, to truely understand who we are as individuals. I guess you'd say I have a pieces of both of them in me- I stand up and fight for what I believe is right, and never turn down the chance to explore and experience new things. I just recently discovered my biological great-great-grandfather was a Russian immigrant, that got came to the US around the turn of the 20th century. So, to re-cap, I am of Scottish, Russian and Native American, and I never pass up a chance to meet new people or work a crowd. I think by looking at me from the outside, I am pretty much an the average American whiteboy, but it's what is inside that makes me special, and who I am. All the necessary intangibles needed to be an upstanding and positive contributer to society I possess- I'm Honest, Trustworthy, Honorable, Reliable, Outgoing, Friendly, Energetic, Charismatic, Empathic, Intelligent, ect., ect., ect. Growing up and living in Northern California has been great for me, but I know the world is vast and I'm anxious to see whats out there. World... Here I come!

PHILOSOPHY

This is really meant to be a face-to-face conversation, but my most basic philosophies are simple. I live my life by two rules, and it has served me well up too this point- and they are- The golden rule of course- "Do unto others, as they will do to you" and "Pay it foward"- Which to mean basically translates in every language to- Treat people you come into contact in life how you would like to be treated and if you catch a good break in life, or something amazing happens for you, spin it foward and do the same for someone else. If we all could do these two simple things, imagine how much nicer this planet we all live on could be? I feel that pay it foward very much relevent to this CouchSurfing experiement.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am very new to this whole couch surfing thing, in fact, I just recently went to my first monthly, (July) CS gathering in the Eindhoven area, (Netherlands). It was great and I feel I really got my foot in the door, and a met few really cool new friends. I'm just getting started though, so look out! I also really look forward to seeing many new places, meeting many new people, and continuing on in the CS tradition. I haven't actually participated directly in surfing or hosting yet, although I'd like to change all of that real soon... (Key word in that sentence being YET). However, I have been conversing with others, trying to get ideas and tips for my travels as well as how to correctly utilize the CS community. By the way, big shout out for all you taking the time to get me started and for helping me out, thanks in advance- All advice and relevant information is greatly appreciated:) Other than that, I am willing to meet up with whomever, just to gain as much experience as I can. Also, back home in Northern California, I'm more than willing to meet up and show you around my city and how we live out there. I might even have a couch available if the right situation presents itself.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far, I have gone to just the one meeting, but everyday I'm working on building up my CS contacts, friendships and references. I suppose you could say it's a ever-evolving, work in progress!

I have many hobbies and enjoy many of the "fruits" life has to offer- All data points to the fact that we only life once, right? So might as well live it up!! In the winter, when it's colder, I like to play in the snow/rain, sip coffee or hot chocolate, and stay inside and watching movies, listening to music or reading. During the summer, while its hot outside, I enjoy doing activities that are outdoors- Sun batheing, swimming, camping, fishing, hiking, boating, riding bicycles, traveling/experiencing new things, taking road trips, visiting old friends and making new ones, excercising and being active. I am also an avid sports fanatic- I love watching and following and playing American Football(NFL), Baseball, Basketball. Perhaps most of all, I love gambling and taking chances- In real life situations or while playing card games like Texas Hold 'Em with friends or by myself online. One thing that can't be forgetten is I will never pass up a chance to learn something new, and I understand languages can be a bit of a barrier abroad, so I also like to study and try to pick up new languages. 我做过的一件不可思议的事情

One thing kind of cool I got to see, was the migration of monarch butterflies which was in Santa Barbra, Ca. It was basicaly millions upon millions of Monarch Butterflies that had congragated together to begin a migratory journey to a warmer climate. It was really awesome and something to behold.
