ABOUT ME

Easy going. Born in Colombia, but with global soul. Backpacking is now a memory. Once a business man, right now I'm mostly focused on being a single dad of two amazing children, 7 and 5 so far. Happy to talk about life, society, politics, media, psychology, philosophy, art, music, sports or movies. Rarely a drinker but good whisky or wine is always welcome.

PHILOSOPHY

Politically: There is always a riot at the end of the tunnel.
Religiously: Last night a DJ saved my life. Spiritually: One day I will start meditating.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Started back in 2008. I have hosted more than 70 people in 4 different location since then. Apart 2 or 3 episodes, it's always been magic.

Interests

I stayed in Couchsurfing for the good talks with smart people from all over the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

I obsessively dig for new music on a constant basis, I play music from 6am until 8pm. I also was a hard-core cinéphile once, today I mostly watch movies for children. Fantasy books junkie. I read sociology, philosophy and political theory. And a couple of random novels every year.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Two Olympic goals in high school. I holded an eagle with my arm. BRN festival in Dresden. Hitchhiked alone from brussels to strasbourg, on two audis and a lexus SUV in less than 7 hours. I had many champagne glasses at the Berlin International Theater Festival VIP room carrying my backpack. Raising two kids and a dog alone.

I was a language teacher once (Spanish, French and English), so feel free to ask.
I know a shit-load of Colombian history and politics, and I'm pretty good narrating it.
I coach as a hobby.
