ABOUT ME

Erin: I just graduated from university and spent this past summer cycling from Amsterdam to Istanbul with 20 amazing young social change activists in an effort to raise $100,000 for microloans. It was a crazy, wild, and challenging adventure that really made me feel like I can accomplish anything I put my mind to. I'm friendly, enthusiastic, and eager to learn new things from new people. I love to explore, talk until the wee hours of the morning, laugh and make people laugh, sit quietly and reflect, dance the night away... I am versatile, adaptable, and accepting and I'd love to hear your stories - we'll have a great time.

Reid: I enjoy playing sports, reading the newspaper, listening to good music, and kickin it with my friends and family. My university education really broadened my imagination and has got me excited to think about other peoples' daily lives and how crazy the world can be. I like to engage with people who are nice to others and ground their thoughts within realistic means. I have worked at summer camps all my life and have therfore been constanly amazed by the honesty, adaptability, and willingness to have fun that so many children embody... I think adults often overlook what they can learn from kids.

So far just by surfing, but there will be lots of couch space in Vancouver when we get back!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

With 20 cyclists we surfed:
- an abandoned office building in Utrecht, Netherlands
- a riverside camp/playground/festival/summer fun area in Gutersloh, Germany
- a University in Dresden, Germany
- a giant gymnasium in Linz, Austria
- a mountaintop in Svoge, Bulgaria
- a big backyard in Kardjali, Bulgaria
- a beachside campground in Istanbul, Turkey
