Über mich
CURRENT MISSION
to get out of my comfort zone and figure out where I fit into this big wide crazy world, while meeting as many new people from as many walks of life as possible
ABOUT ME
My name is Sam. I was born and raised in Adelaide, a small but pretty city in South Australia.
After having spent way too long in the hallowed halls of secondary and tertiary education institutions, followed by a valuable, but ultimately unsatisfying foray into the professional workforce, I've decided to pull up stumps for a while and place my meagre savings into a long desired investment, a lengthy round the world travel experience!
I'm a pretty easy-going, laid back kind of chap, who loves a laugh (and I laugh LOUDLY - just ask any of my friends), great music, film and art, good food, keeping fit and making new friends. I'd say I enjoy long walks along the beach, but that might be a cliche too far...
PHILOSOPHY
The motto I'm trying to adopt more and more is this - YOU LIVE ONCE
Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm pretty new to all this, but if making friends in new places counts, then count me in!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I think being able to share your experience of a new country or city with a local makes travel that much more memorable. I've been lucky enough to stay with several friends in different spots within Australia while studying in short courses and holidaying, and the knowledge, contacts with other locals and general hospitality that comes with staying with a local is simply eye-opening, invaluable and forever appreciated.
Interessen
Great music, film, books and art, running, riding and generally keeping fit, trying to surf (I'll stand up one day I swear!) SKIING!!, getting outdoors whenever the opportunity arises, watching great bands and seeing good theatre, acting, singing, playing guitar and dancing like Jagger, going to great bars and drinking good wine, adding to my meagre cooking skills (I make a mean disaster pasta), and most importantly, TRAVEL!

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe
It might be a cliche, but its pretty damn hard to go past jumping off a bridge in NZ with a bungee cable strapped to your feet.
Barreling down winding roads in the Adelaide Hills at 130km/hr in an Aston Martin V8 Vantage rates pretty highly too.
Lehren, lernen, teilen
I've had a lot of experience in amateur and semi-professional theatre and am pretty good with techniques in public speaking and performance and also in singing.
I'm also a good skiier and one heck of a snappy dresser.
