ABOUT ME

Please read my profile carefully. I am not going to answer to mails of strangers just wanting to say hi. Apart from that I am very interested in getting to know you as long as you tell me something about yourself too.Who am I? That is a very profound question. I haven't really got all the answers myself yet, but here is what I figured out in my 30 somethings years so far: My aim in life is to be happy. Whatever it takes for me to reach that stage. I am not a too serious person. I like to laugh and joke around. I am smiling a lot. I can talk a lot, but I am also a good listener. I love photography, but still practicing. I don't like using photoshop to make them look good. I want to be able to be fantastic with my camera...though lately I have been a bit lazy with it :) I love to party now and then, but I need to be in the mood. I am not a big drinker, but then I don't need alcohol to have a good time, it's the people and the place that make the atmosphere. I can not sit still for very long, I need to be doing things and I prefer to do them outside. That includes hiking, fruit picking (and eating ;) going out and recently I discovered adventure sports like bungee jumping (still freaks the hell out of me), skydiving, paragliding and quad biking. So yes, I consider myself to be a bit crazy. I am pretty organized, as you have to be as a former tour leader and love showing people what I discovered in the countries I did guiding in. I played a lot of music during school (piano, keyboards, guitar, sang in choirs, played in a band)and did some acting in school plays, but now I don't really have or take time for it. I hate injustice and can't help sometimes getting involved trying to help someone else standing up for him- or herself. If there is an argument I try to understand both sides of the case and often end up defending the opposite site of my own opinion which can get confusing, if people don't know which side you actually stand on. I am a sun lover. If I don't get my regular dosis of sun I shrivel...well, not literally, but I start to get moody. Usually I am a well tempered person, that sometimes needs her own space and time for herself.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I don't want to be selfish by just using you to stay over. I'd love to give back and invite you into my home. I sometimes attend CS-meetings in Konstanz where I live at the moment to meet and welcome new as well as "old" people. I hope to built up good relationships, exchange ideas and views, learn some of the languages in the countries I travel in.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well, I am not new to couch surfing, but I have not used it very much. I stayed with a few people in South and Central America and in Germany once. Though I think that this is a great idea to get away from all the tourists and experience the country and the people in a different way. When I heard about couch surfing I simply had to join in.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like history related books, meaning a good made up story, but based on historical facts or figures.

Movies I enjoy watching are the typical female romantic movies ;) plus comedies and action ones.

I enjoy listening to Electronic, Dance, Trance and House Music. Some Pop as well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Bungee Jumping from the formerly highest bungee jump in the world in South Africa, 216m and in general being able to live my life as I am doing now - good mixture of desk work and traveling.
