About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to absorb and enjoy

ABOUT ME

I'm always keen to meet new people and love the random-ness of life's experiences. I'm optimistic, considerate, creative, and always up for a laugh.
My family are from Liverpool, but I've lived in Newcastle-upon-Tyne for the past 5 years studying and working in the field of architecture.
My friends are a huge part of my life, but I've been excited about the adventure of traveling for a while now. I hope to make some new bonds and great memories.

PHILOSOPHY

Be considerately ambitious. Be open. Perspective is important, and being able to move on from bad experiences positively can be surprisingly uplifting.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new to the community of Couch Surfing but ever since I heard about it I've been 'bigging up' the concept. Hopefully I'll have many great experiences to share and will encourage many of my friends to get involved (they're all lovely people so they'd fit right in!)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None as of yet.

Interests

I'm interested in many things, but my passion would have to be art and architecture. I love drawing, painting and making. I'm a keen (amateur) photographer.
I was a tubby-teen and didn't indulge in much sport but love giving anything a go :) . I like to ski, waterski, climb, cycle, run, swim, and wish I was good at football.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love many movies. Some of my favourites are: Big Lebowski, Kung Fu Hustle, Hero, Groundhog Day, The Darjeeling Limited, Arlington Road, The Life Aquatic, Science of Sleep, American History X, Pulp Fiction, Anchor Man, Pans Labyrinth, Die Hard and Pineapple Express.
I'm open to all kinds of music, but the kind of stuff I'd choose to listen to in my own time would be: The Mars Volta, Patrick Wolf, Kings of Leon, RATM, Fujiya & Miyagi, Soundgarden, Hot Chip, Manu Chau, Radiohead, Simian Mobile Disco, Justice, Daft Punk, Nice Cave and many more.
As regards books, I'm not quite so varied but that's something I'm rapidly rectifying as I'm missing out! I've enjoyed Hitchhikers Guide, Hannibal, Red Dragon, Altered Carbon, Wilt in Nowhere, Fear and Loathing, The Beach, Watchmen and others - would like to get many more recommendations.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went on an international snow sculpting competition in Canada. It was a pretty unique experience.
