About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To be happy and help others be happy.

ABOUT ME

A life-long student, I want to get a PhD in neurobiology, do research and teach biology and/or chemistry. As for now, I enjoy life. I find humor in just about anything and am extremely open-minded and understanding. I'm told that I'm a really a good listener.

Beware, I'm a veggie who plays rugby.

I like to think that I'm clever and funny. ;)

PHILOSOPHY

As in my mission, I want to help others be happy. Whatever I can do on a daily basis that brings a smile to someone's face, brings a smile to mine as well. I am very compassionate and empathetic, and am generally not afraid to show it. I get a bit down when I don't see another smile in the room.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Being a student, I am afraid I have limited space for people to stay. I am more than willing to meet up for coffee and good conversation. I enjoy meeting all sorts of good and/or wacky people. I am especially good with shy-types, so don't be afraid!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first host caught the swine flu the week before we were destined to meet!

My next host was absolutely amazing - I enjoyed going out with his friends. When I'm travelling alone, I'm afraid to go out to bars/clubs. So, when I'm being hosted, it's a very nice treat!

Interests

I am interested in just about anything, especially the more geeky or eccentric topics. I am especially interested in animals; philosophy; society; science; personal histories; children; history in general (you can never know enough of it); and anything that someone else may be passionate about.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Navigated through Marseilles to the airport with little time to spare... We thought our flight was the next day; it was that afternoon. (We made it!)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you a fair amount of biology and chemistry. I can also teach you how to do a little bit of ballroom dancing, how to play chess, how to knit, how to sew and how to feed a vegetarian. I used to pierce ears, so I can teach you fun little things about piercings and how to handle problem customers. Maybe even how to get organized.

Willing to learn just about anything :D
