I am a lover of life, happy to be, experience new things and people.
I hope to one day to work in education as a K-8 teacher. I've just finished school at UCSB BA in Lit and UCSC MA in Education and now am teaching English in Chengdu, China.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've couch surfed in France, hosted folks at my place in Isla Vista, CA and now am interested in meeting up with people in China.

Interests

I like cooking and eating, having picnics, reading music, singing and dancing! I'm into photography and painting, DIY (esp knitting hats), writing, camping and tea. I like swimming in the ocean and learning new languages. I like being outside and am all about kinesthetic learning. I'm big into yoga.

Music, Movies, and Books

In undergrad I was a literature major, I like reading and knowing about the author's lives. I really like poetry like Sharon Olds, Pablo Neruda and Charles Bukowski and lit from the Modernist movement.

I like music that makes me feel good. My dad is a musician, his band is the last on the list, I grew up listening to him practicing guitar constantly.

I've worked at both cheese and wine stores. I know a lot about both. Also I'm kind of crafty, I can teach you how to knit!
