ABOUT ME

Performance Artist and Digital archivist - Im an artistic practitioner and researcher in the fields of dance and performance. I am interested in how we document and archive these practices, and finding ways of incorporating them in the creative process of presenting performance. But in my spare time I love traveling, meeting new people, exploring and enjoying life.

PHILOSOPHY

Everything stems from our body's experiences so let it move through space have fun and except everything that comes to you - as it is all positive even if you can't quite recognise it at the time it will make sense one day so persevere.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Whilst I don't currently have a sofa to offer I was living in a place called Globe Cottage in a small town in Devon and it literally was a Global check point! I think we only had one week in totally where we didnt have someone to stay - there was a mixture of friends family and strangers all were amazing but its great when you have someone who can feel like they can make themselves at home, relax and enjoying the chaotic atmosphere of our house hold but also absorb the peacefulness of the countryside around. I think this can work in the city too - when there is a stimulating environment, relaxed atmosphere people can be themselves and express themselves -thats all that matters.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living in sardinia for 8 months it is a truely beautiful island with an amazing community. I was fortunate to be doing a project with the performance company Carovana S.M.I and they were extremely generous including me in their performance programme. We toured the whole of the island meeting a variety of people, landscapes and industries. Sun sea sand and surf but also abundant with mountains, agriculture, mining and fishing communities.

Teach, Learn, Share

Sharing - definitely language, as a native English speaking I am extremely conscious of my lack of knowledge and skill in speaking another language. For this I feel ignorant and even though I have started to learn many languages I have not had a chance to practice them and have lost them so I wish to change this!
what can i offer some creative fun positive vibes, can give you some lessons in film editing/documenting performance or we can have a go at creating our own performance scores.
