ABOUT ME

I am a proud Canadian who has lived abroad in Cairo, Egypt, Guangzhou, China and now in Shanghai. In August I am moving to Malaysia! It has certainly been an unique, eye-opening learning experience.

I am a quiet, independent, ambitious, caring, thoughtful, adventerous, patient, flexable, assertive person and I am trying to expand my 'comfort zone' by trying new experiences. Okay, so I'm not a saint, I have my faults too . . .

I am extremely passionate about education and teaching. I absolutely love my job!

PHILOSOPHY

To be happy and cease every opportunity. Also, I try to see the positives in every situation, no matter how difficult that is sometimes!

Interessen

Helping students reach their full potential and to develop their self-esteem and confidence so that they can accomplish any task. In my free time I love to travel, experience new cultures, take online courses, spend time with friends exploring a new area, attending potlucks or watching movies. I also love sports and recreational activities - soccer, basketball, swimming, hiking, horseback riding, canoeing, white water rafting.

Wow, it's difficult to only pick one amazing thing . . . moving to Egypt would have to be #1 right now.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I love the statement "everyone's a student and everyone's a teacher". This is so true. Each day while my students learn from me I am also learning from them :)! Everyone has knowledge they can share and learn from each other, if only they are willing to take the time to do so.
