ABOUT ME
I was once part of the rat race, but after traveling around the world in 2001-2002, I decided that the world is too big and time is too short. So I planned for a long journey and then in late 2007 the opportunity presented itself. I've spent the past 4 years traveling all over the planet for no apparent reason. No one knows what the future holds, but I plan to travel the world for many years to come. I've lived and worked in Tokyo, as well as Philadelphia, Portland and Seattle, and traveled to more than 100 counties for business and adventure. I don't know how long I'll be fortunate enough to continue living this dream, but I am thankful each and everyday for this rare and unique opportunity...
PHILOSOPHY
Live as if you expect to live a hundred years, but might die tomorrow...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have a wealth of travel experience, and used to teach English. I would like to share my experiences and assist CS hosts in learning English if they desire. I had planned to stop traveling at some point, get an apartment and become a host. And now that plan has become reality :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've been CSing for a few years now and have not have even one bad experience... check my references for more info...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
saw a Tiger in India, while on elephant-back, from just a few meters away...
survived a jungle in Sumatra after getting lost for a few days by drinking my own urine...
enjoyed sundown drinks with the prince and princess of holland on a small island off of Mozambique.
motorbiked thru North Vietman for a month, covering over 2500 km from Hanoi to Halong Bay, along the Chinese border, to Sapa, along the border with Laos and back to Hanoi... truly amazing to see cities of over 1 million people with no foreigners.
was in the center of Paris the night the French won the World Cup in 1998...
traveled from the east coast of China to western Europe by land...
held the hand of my grandmother as she passed on...
Teach, Learn, Share
I want to share my travel experiences, teach English to hosts who are interested, and learn about the local environment and culture from those with whom I stay...
