About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I want to see things that take my breathe away, but I don't want to do things that take my breathe away -- not too comfortable with the feeling of free fall.

ABOUT ME

I really like Austin, it's a great little city. This is good because I'm in school so I'm rooted here for another three years. My plate is pretty full with work and school so I have very little opportunity to travel at the moment unfortunately. I'm a no frills kind of gal, I mean, don't get me wrong, I like dressing up and going out as much as the next girl, but most of the time I like to keep it pretty low key which consists of meeting friends for drinks at the neighborhood bar, going to see some live music, heading down to barton springs for some sun and swim action. I do love a good theme party though, I'll definitely get dressed up for that. Also, I like working on art projects for friends (SEE Face-In-Hole photo opp board in pics).

Interests

Traveling, looking at architecture, arts and crafts, live music, camping, meeting new people, dancing, going to local dive bars with friends for a drink, hanging out at coffee shops, mid-century era furniture, hosting parties, especially themed parties, exploring nature/cities/countries/anyplaceworthyofexploration, owls, micheladas, hip hop, musuems, sock hops, yard games - badminton's my favorite, old cameras, records, homemade presents, vintage t-shirts, and the list goes on....

Music: Pretty much everything but Death Metal, 90's alternative rock (with the exception of Nirvana and Smashing Pumpkins) and pop/comtemporary country.
Music that I will always have a special place in my heart: David Bowie, The Clash, Dandy Warhols, Blondie, Beatles, Rolling Stones, Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Bjork, Prince
Other music I think is kinda cool: Sleigh Bells, Broken Bells, Black Keys, Bon Iver, Edan, Madlib, Budos Band, Kid Sister, Cat Power, Stereolab, Sean Lennon, Belle & Sebastian, Raconteurs, Kid Sister, T-Bird and the Breaks
