Master's Thesis in Architecture
ABOUT ME
Well, I'm a German Architecture student that since 2008 made traveling the most important source in that profession.
I lived and worked in Japan for one year, i learned to like Natto + Japanese beer and got addicted to fixed gear bikes.
2010 I decided to start an incredible Master in Architecture 'Architektur.Studium.Generale' a traveleing university that tours around Europe and a little bit further with projects in Estonia, Portugal, Poland, Austria, Spain, Israel and Germany.
I'm right about to finish that.
PHILOSOPHY
I'm looking for invisible things: hidden meanings + objects, phenomena, sounds, smell. I'm interested in things not everybody likes...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Since 2008 I'm an almost constant traveler. I'm living here and there.
I had some amazing couchsurf experiences and hope to host someone as soon as I'm settled down somewhere.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
During my stay in Japan I traveled for 2 weeks from the east [Tokyo] to the west [Fukuoka] of the country. Most of the nights we spent outside, on the beach of Amanohashidate, a ferry terminal close to Naoshima in Mangacafés and 3 amazing nights Couchsurfing in Kobe!
Never had the pleasure to host someone so far.

I love to dance to Indie, love to be creative to dubstep + drum'n'bass and can concentrate best while listening to debussy.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
.2009. A Sunset on Japanese island Naoshima that made cars stop and my eyes cry.

Teach, Learn, Share
Master's Thesis in Architecture: Complexity and Urban Identity of Tel Aviv. Spirit research and alternative planning // deserted places + activation // Dolphinarium/ Shuk Ha'aliya/ Atarim Square/ Old + New Central Bus Station/ Former TLV South train station/ Dizengoff Square/ 'Central Park'/ 'Sun Hotel' Bat Yam.
Title born today, 25.05.12: *TEL AVIV AKTIV
*TEL AVIV AKTIV - 9 typologies 9 colonies -introduces 9 [Mega]structures - remarkable public buildings in different urban context. They all have in common to be neglected, deserted or abandoned.
*TEL AVIV AKTIV contains more than just a portrait of abandoned places with a potential for activity. It dissects each location, each an urban phenomenon on its own, and reveals its elements: structure, function, atmosphere, graffiti, plants, rubbish...
The aim is a design proposal for every object – a trigger for colonization. With minimal interventions based on needs of respective neighbourhoods and on elements offered by each building it will experience a change by its surrounding community.
Initiated by one -- developed by others -- Bottom Up! Temporary? Who knows? The city changes constantly.
