About Me

CURRENT MISSION

There is a time for departure even if there is no certain place to go

ABOUT ME

What shall I say? I love traveling, exploring the world, getting in touch with strangers and recently found a new passion: hiking. Besides that I'm outgoing and a fun-loving person as well as I enjoy intellectual conversations (I do not like boring talks. sometimes it's better to stay silent though). I'm interested in music, photography and many more. I'm earning my living as a psychologist right now, but still dreaming of my own coffee bar! So I would definitely join in having a coffee or a drink with you :)
Just write me, meet me and you'll see. Oh well, and please do not just copy a random message you send to everybody when writing me- that is lame and does not get an answer. Add a sentence with the word flower in it, so that I can see, you read my profile...

PHILOSOPHY

I do not know where I am going, but I am on my way.

Go at least once a year to a place you’ve never been before.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't hosted a person yet, as I haven't had an extra bed/ couch. Started surfing in Australia and went for a couple of coffees before. I'd like to give some of the great experiences of staying at other peoples places back to other travelers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Started surfing in Australia and had pretty good experiences so far. Very nice people and it's always interesting and fun to meet new people.

Interests

Traveling (surprise), Music, photography (unfortunately a very neglected hobby of mine), nature, sports (all sorts of, depending on the season: bouldering, snowbording, hiking, and I recently fell in love with surfing on my latest trip to Portugal), politics, chatting with people, cooking, drinking a glass (or two) of good wine,...

Music, Movies, and Books

I pretty much liked "One day" (Nicholls) and "Veronica" (Cohelo, even if I haven't yet been able to read that book in the author's mother tongue), "The Giver", "The Human".

Movies (I am more the arthouse than the Blockbuster type): Fatih Akin (especially Gegen die Wand, Auf der anderen Seite), Die fetten Jahre sind vorbei, Solino... Beautiful Boy (awesome!)

All kinds of music depending on my mood and the situation: from Trance, Hip Hop to Alternative as well as classical music.
Especially touched by artists like 2Cellos, Angus and Julia Stone, Glen Hansard, Ben Howard, Tom Odel, Melody Gardot, Zaz, Mischa Maisky...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sunset in Angkor, cycling in Cambodia, snorkelling at the Great Barrier Reef, a smile in the face of a person you where brave enough to tell they are beautiful.

Teach, Learn, Share

Sharing experiences, opinions on different topics. I like to discuss and to get to know how other people with different cultural backgrounds think.
