Overview
About Me
Hey there, I'm a native Austinite and graduate of UTexas with a degree in Anthropology and Psychology. I am currently enrolled in a Research Masters in the Faculty of Spatial Sciences at the University of Groningen with a strong interest/focus in community food system development. In Groningen I live in a very small room in an international student house, so, unfortunately, I have no adequate space to host anyone. If you're in town and want someone to show you around, I would be happy to meet up!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
In the past I have traveled and surfed, which I thoroughly enjoy doing through couchsurfing. I also use WarmShowers! If you're a bike tourer, I HIGHLY suggest this site. It's like couchsurfing, but just for you ;) I've host more often on warmshowers, maybe because I've lived in weird obscure rural areas (where only bike tourers visit...).
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've hosted people in Austin, and have also surfed in Europe as well as along a bike trip down the West Coast a couple summers ago.
Interests
Music, biking, sweaters, rurban.
Well more than that, but I don't want to ruin the surprise.

Music, Movies, and Books
As far as music goes I'm in to post-punk, garage/surf/noise/psychedelic/experimental rock, new wave, minimal house, and a bit of electro-pop, but always like it when someone shows me something new!
My taste in movies varies- I especially like post-apocalyptic and gangster movies (not necessarily together...though that would be interesting too). I don't have a favorite movie, but I think everyone and their mother should watch the movie Kids
My taste in books is also all over the board! In novels, I enjoy magical realism (anything by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, for example), though I also like to read nonfiction books about social/environmentally conscious topics.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Biking down the west coast was a nice accomplishment, but I take pride in the little victories. Making a pot of popcorn and leaving no kernels unpopped, for example...
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a greattttt cook. Well, I like my own cooking, and you might as well. I'm learning Dutch, and want to learn Spanish, but after I see the Duolingo Owl cry, I can't face him again! Oh the shame!!!!!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook for my hosts (as mentioned!), we can swap stories, I will let my hosts shave a lightening bolt in the back of my head.
