ABOUT ME

I've lived in Brussels for the past nine years. I moved here to work on a listings magazine, and well, stayed. Inevitably, I've got sucked into the EU orbit, working on a weekly newspaper from time to time and writing articles and what not for the Commission. The quality of life is pretty good here, though taxes are high. Cafes and bars stay open a lot longer than they really should...
But I get a kick out of the international flavour of the city.

I'm trying to get it right, but somehow I always feel that I'm not quite managing.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Re-reading Catch 22, which is a big baggy and often brilliant book.
Read a lot of Tolstoy, when I was in my early twenties and looking for the meaning of life. Still read the occasional classic, but mostly modern novels. Jonathan Coe's What a care up! is the book by my bedside.
Used to fancy myself a movie buff, but I don't watch so many movies these days. Still go the cinema a couple of times a week on my UGC pass.
Music: play the guitar -- quite well, but nothing special. Can do passable imitations of my heroes listed above.
