ABOUT ME
Hello! I am Emily. I love good food, good music, and good people, close at hand. I am passionate about learning about the world and its many cultures and experiencing them for myself through travel and through meeting travelers.
I love seeing live music, dancing, working on my record collection, and playing my accordion and the occasional song on piano or guitar. I'm learning to play banjo now too.
I love spending time in nature. I grew up in the redwoods of Northern California, and then the temperate rainforest of BC. After a stint of living back in SF, I now live in New Orleans and spend my days parading through streets, dancing a lot, eating great food and smiling at people on their porches.
One of my greatest pleasures is cooking great meals for friends and family, and love exploring the many delights of food.
I want to move to Latin America to perfect my spanish and want to try my hand at woofing in brazil. I am all about experiencing the depths of awesomeness that the universe has to offer if you are open for the adventure.
PHILOSOPHY
Live a life that is true to your soul. Take risks and try new things. Share what you have. Strong community is one of the most important things one can have.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I first heard about Couchsurfing when I lived in Vancouver BC in a very creative artistic house with amazing people. We hosted several travelers and it was great. I have since traveled across the US couchsurfing the whole way. I met some great characters and it opened me up to the fact that there are chill people doing chill things everywhere. Since I've moved to NOLA, I live in a house of couchsurfers and we have hosted tons of people. It's always an adventure.
