ABOUT ME

Bolstered by a long list of A-plus record labels, artists and brands, Mike Angelo Torres began his foray into filmmaking as a true double-threat, acting as both director and director of photography on countless music videos and national commercial advertisements. Early in his career, Torres directed videos for Sony Music and Doghouse Records, as well as an emotionally charged public service announcement dealing with animal shelter over-population, securing him a highly coveted spot on the Revolution Pictures roster. Following this impressive debut, Mike had the great fortune of teaming up with notable Lions Gate director, Alejandro Monteverde (Bella, 2006) on several national commercials and PSAs. Those experiences then lead Torres into to the world of documentary filmmaking, and in 2006 he ventured out on a 51 city, worldwide tour filming the up-and-coming indie folk-rock band, Okkervil River. These travels took him to Greece, Italy, Spain, France, New Zeland, Australia and all across the United States and the resulting documentary, entitled â
