About Me

CURRENT MISSION

are we there yet?

ABOUT ME

i'm a singer. and a pianist some days. i laugh loudly. i am a horrible liar. i like listening in on other people's conversations. i write a lot of words. i suck at taking pictures. i think too much. i love walks. i am very easily distracted.

there's nothing i can say here that doesn't make me cringe inside.

PHILOSOPHY

reality leaves a lot to the imagination.

“There is an ecstasy that marks the summit of life, and beyond which life cannot rise. And such is the paradox of living, this ecstasy comes when one is most alive, and it comes as a complete forgetfulness that one is alive.” - Jack London

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Pretty new to this. I surfed once with some pretty great people, and that turned into one of the best nights I've lived. I can only hope they keep rollin.

Interests

you know, the usual. also i love children's books. and theatre. anything unplanned. listening, talking, people watching. NOT money.

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC: in a few words- folk singers, jazz singers, anything with a groove, anything that makes it impossible to keep still. i hate songs you can understand the first time you hear them. i like the music that takes you places. i think genre definition is ridiculous. and no one sings better than Billie Holiday.

MOVIES: i like them. in fact, i love them.

BOOKS: The Call of the Wild, Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan. Hemingway + F. Scott. The Picture of Dorian Gray might be the best book I've ever read, or maybe it's just the one I'm reading now, but either way, The Giver will always be my favorite.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

spent a night in an empty newspaper stand outside the train station. went skinnydipping in a mountain lake. spent an entire night analyzing Radiohead with a keyboard, a guitar, and a good friend. actually touched a Monet.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Puerto Rico, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In
