meet some friends I haven't seen in years

ABOUT ME

this is how a perfect evening would be for me:
on a warm summer afternoon we'd meet in the park and sit and chat and be goofy on a slackline or play table tennis. and when we get hungry from all this we'll start the barbecue and eat the yummy stuff everyone brought and have a nice cold beer. and when the sun is completely gone we'll go and find that little stage at the other end of the park where there's a free concert.

PHILOSOPHY

“When I was very young and the urge to be someplace was on me, I was assured by mature people that maturity would cure this itch. When years described me as mature, the remedy prescribed was middle age. In middle age I was assured that greater age would calm my fever and now that I am fifty-eight perhaps senility will do the job. Nothing has worked. In other words, I don't improve, in further words, once a bum always a bum. I fear the disease is incurable.”

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I stayed at someone else's place once for a long time and it was really cool because I was practically living with the family. I've also hosted people but they never left any reference, so I'm kind of disappointed from that side. Still hope to be hosting some more geniune couchsurfers in near future and will be travelling too very soon.

I do spend a lot of time between books, in books and around books- part for studies, part because I love reading. But when I get out I enjoy hiking, camping, staying in remote places, climbing. Also love going for coffee and the opera of Leipzig. I love travelling, also on my own, because it's easier than to meet new people.

I love how most things just seem to work out when you're traveling and help come from unexpected directions. this "one thing leading to another" is what keeps me in awe.

there's still so many things to learn... right know I'm interested in brewing beer, accupuncture, soapmaking, how to pack a backpack perfectly, camel riding,phytopharmacology, harmonicas... :) I'm the kind of person that reads every sign in a museum, so it should be hard NOT to find anything to teach me :)
as for teaching myself,I know I know little more than nothing
