ABOUT ME

I'm a graduate of German and Theatre studies, living in Warsaw since I was born, grown up here. Interested mainly in literature, culture and sports. In the summer: mainly travelling and meeting people. Several years ago I felt in love with US and ever since then I try to visit the New World and learn more about it. I just wish one day I could see every single state :) But I also love travelling in Europe and within Poland. I try to find my luck living my own way and trying to be myself. I love adventures and I try not to be afraid of anything, I don't need luxurious conditions to see how beautiful life can be. From all of the beautiful phenomena of life the most important for me is freedom: I like to feel free and do everything I intend to do, then even if I face any difficulties I try to defeat them.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

On one hand I'd like to meet new people and on the other introduce people to my country, city and culture. I've hosted numerous people in Warsaw and spent my time with them, offering a nice lesson in Polish culture and reality. I like to show other people positive aspects of my own life, if they are interested in it and want to participate.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Member of CS community since summer 2009. I have hosted numerous people from different countries, and I've been hosted in the places I visited. I also attend the CS meetings to meet new people there.

Música, películas y libros

Movies: 'North and South'!!! (and other American epic miniseries), 'Bram Stoker's Dracula', 'Brideshead Revisited', 'The Forsyte Saga', historical movies, romances, musicals. All movies with Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Gregory Peck, Cary Grant. I also adore animated features (Disney and Dreamworks mainly). I love Italian movies with Marcello Mastroianni, Fellini's mostly (8 1/2, La dolce vita). Mae West movies are also a huge fun to watch.
Recently I revisited 'Twin Peaks' and loved it a lot. Among my favourite TV series there is also 'Xena: The Warrior Princess', 'Glee', 'Prison Break', 'Rags to Riches' and many others...

Music: Jason Donovan, Kylie Minogue, Madonna, Rick Springfield, Martika, Bananarama, Mylene Farmer, New Order, almost everything that's 80's and early 90's. But I also love classical music, mainly from 19. century, among others Dvořák, Smetana, Prokofiev, Stravinsky, Tschaikovsky and many others. My favourite movie composer is Thomas Newman ('American Beauty', 'White Oleander').

Books: John Jakes, Victor Hugo, Walter Scott, medievil epics, gothic and romantic novels, folk literature, Songs of Ossian, balladry, historical fiction, dramas (I adore Tennessee Williams), 'The Color Purple' by Alice Walker, 'The Fountainhead' by Ayn Rand.

The East Coast of the USA - enormous metropoles in the North (New York, Boston, Philadelphia) and the breathtaking Old South - Charleston, SC and Savannah, GA.
Making Bohemian Studies in Prague during vacation.
Travelling in Romania, visiting the Black Sea coast and Transylvania.
The 1st part of the Balkans: Serbia, Bosnia and Hercegovina, Montenegro. The 2nd trip included Bulgaria, Macedonia, Kosovo and Albania. Balkans have the best cuisine ever.
Uzbekistan - on of the most interesting and beautiful countries in the Middle Asia... Unforgetable experiences.

I have done many amazing things apart from traveling of course, but that's not the proper place to share these experiences.
