About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Be rich, famous and adored without really trying
ABOUT ME
I was born in Los Angeles, USA and moved to ̡̉stanbul when I was 11 years old. At first I hated my family for taking from me the land of BigMac's, NBA, cheerleaders, YouTube, The TacoBell dog etc and replacing it with mosques and d̮̦ner.
But now I realize that Istanbul is the best fucking city in the world, and I love it so much.
I spend more than a healthy amount of time day-dreaming
I love crazy people, who cry when they should laugh and laugh when they should cry.
I have a profound love for all kinds of people (when i'm drunk)
I love the excitement of meeting somebody for the first time, breaking down the walls and talking about nothing but everything at the same time
I hate people who kiss with their eyes open, very scary (edit: After falling in love with a girl who DID kiss with her eyes open, I realize hate is a strong word. In fact, kissing with eyes open is an absurd and powerful experience that I recommend you rarely to occasionaly try)
I have too many thoughts that I can let go only by writing or playing music, or else I explode
Cats are better than dogs if you ask me
I could go on and on, but I am in a shitty internet cafe in Taksim and my keyboard is broken so I have to shut up.
PHILOSOPHY
I would like to quote from my favorite movie, Arizona Dream:
But what's the point of breathing if somebody already tells you the difference between an apple and a bicycle? If I bite a bicycle and ride an apple, then I'll know the difference
Beautiful and true..
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Istanbul is the MOST awesome city in the world, and I want to show people that. (Edit: Now in Stockholm, have shown enough, my turn to be showed, tit for tat!)
The blend of ugly and pretty, peaceful and chaotic, black and white, quiet and loud is soo amazing. The city is a fucking contradiction in an enigma wrapped in a puzzle. It's sexy and arrogant and unreachable and friendly at the same time.
But that can't be noticed instantly, one must know the right people and the right places to enjoy it.
That's where I enter the picture.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My favorite experience was when I harvested and sold my first Couchsurfer's kidneys (both) on the black market.
At that moment, I knew CS was perfect for me.
Interests
I am interested in too many things for my own good, I start a hobby and forget about when something more exciting comes up.
My shrink says I have commitment issues, but helloooo! Nice way to earn your paycheck doc

Music, Movies, and Books
I like many writers but my gods are: Celine, John Fante, Haruki Murakami, Jack Kerouac, Henry Miller, Hemingway, Franzen, Denis Johnson, George Saunders, the bald Serbian guy whose name I forgot but who is compared to Nabokov and writes for the New Yorker, Collete, Saramago, Bulgakov, Turgenev, Johnathan Safran Foer, Don Delillo, Kurt Vonnegut, Faulkner(i never read i book of his, just saying it to impress you guys), Marquez, Palahniuk, David Foster Wallace, Micheal Chabon, Oscar Wilde... (as you can see, even a Hindu has less gods than me). I'm kinda like a book junkie though, if I don't get my fix that day I become cranky and depressed.
If I had to pick a favorite book though, it would be The Unbearable Lightness of Being. I still constantly re-read it every couple of months.
Musically I like to be surprised, so I just open an internet radio and listen to whatever plays. Than I hear a song that I really like but than forget the name of it and never hear it again. So my songs are like one night stands I fall in love with. Think about that.Movies: Best movies ever: Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Arizona Dream, Fight Club, Naked, Adaptation, Roman Holiday, Wild Strawberries, Deconstructing Harry, Backdoor Sluts 4 (nah just kidding. or am i?)I also have to say that Woody Allen is my all-time favorite director and also philosopher, and I have watched almost every one of his movies more than once. Also, lately I am going through a Cassavetes renaissance, there is something about his movies that makes me "be moved", although watching Armageddon by Micheal Bay also moves me, so I'm not that much of a snob.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once rode in a car WITHOUT MY SEATBELT!! So much adrenaline man!
Other crazy things I've done:
-Stole a sip of beer from my friend WHEN HE WAS'NT LOOKİNG!! (So extreme)
-Smoked TWO MARLBOROS IN A ROW!!
-I once went to the movies with a girl and at the scary part I pretended to yawn but quickly PUT MY HAND ON HER SHOULDER! Such a smooth move.
-I once went to the bank and had to fill out a form and on the form it said you have to fill out the form in capital letters but I FILLED IT OUT IN SMALL LETTERS and still got an account opened!
-Once I prank called someone I didn't know and talked for 7 seconds WITHOUT laughing!
-I stretched a rubber band and when it hit my hand and hurt so much I pretended like I didn't feel a thing.
I live such a extreme and badass life, sometimes I wonder how I still am not dead.
Teach, Learn, Share
I want to learn EVERYTHING. That may sound too ambitious, but at least it eliminates the concept of boring people. Everybody is interesting, for some you just have to dig deeper.
