HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I`m not traveling myself yet, but I am hosting people, because it is a great way if you can`t go see the World, you can have a similar experience by meeting and getting to know interesting people from all over the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had the chance to be a host five times already. And the experience has been quite pleasant so far.

As I said I`m interested in politics, I love history, especially the rise and fall of civilizations, I always have found fascinating the contrast between for example the size and might of Mongol empire and the situation of todays Mongolia, quite the same goes for Greece ;) I think this paradox is summed up in the most beautiful way in this poem by Percy Bysshe Shelley: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=krbX-9ugbI4
Another great field of interest for me is religions, but not simply to get to know some dry facts, but hear from the followers about what this way of life means to them.

音乐、电影和书籍

There`s a lot movies I like, but I will mention only those I can watch more than twice: "V for Vendetta", LOTR, "Mary and Max","The Sunshine Limited" and "Waking life".

I love all kinds of music but the classical music (or the concert music as it`s properly called) is the one I can really single out, it is a real pleasure to listen to anything by Schubert.

If we talk about my books then I was moved by all works written by Herman Hesse, it is a shame that he didn't write more. One other book I was really influenced by was "The life of Pi" by Jan Martel and the wonderful Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy an all kinds of fantasy literature.
