About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To be present and open to new learning, vistas and adventures.

ABOUT ME

I share my home with an intentional community of 5 people. I aspire to write children's books. I travel a lot when not doing behavioral consulting with young children. I can transform barren land into a flowering edible garden. I love the outdoors and am a beginning birder, x-country skiier, recreational kyaker. I share ownership of a small plane with my son.

PHILOSOPHY

Mindful presence, awareness of the dialectic that life is. Put back is essential.

Music, Movies, and Books

Reading presently: The Audacity of Hope (Obama) A collection of short short stories by a female Indian author, another book on the life of the Dalai Lama, one book on creative intelligence...Music, currenty listening to Swil Kanim (a Lumi native violinist) Just saw Away we go and loved it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Recently, I spent two nights at Arenal Volcano at the Observatory in a "Smithsonian Room" in Costa Rica. At night I could see the lava flowing from the volcano and hear the rumbling of cooling lava careening down. In the daylight as I traveled in Costa Rica, I quietly observed and identified over 115 birds. How incredible.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach about the land that I live upon. We are working on mindfulness education for young children. I also make jewelry and weave pine needle baskets.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Costa Rica, France, Germany, Guam, Italy, Jamaica, Kenya, Marshall Islands, Mexico, Netherlands, Palau, Panama, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States
