About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To Learn From Others

ABOUT ME

I'm a thinker, or so I would like to believe. I want to achieve much in this world. I want to give back. And hopefully one day, I can make a concrete difference. For the time being, I will concentrate my efforts in learning as much as I can from my academic studies while learning from people and the experiences I have.

I live life and try not to take it too seriously.
I classify myself as a transcendalist - believing that the greatest spiritual revelations anyone can get is from this earth.

Currently, I'm in the university studying Political Science, International Studies (emphasis in Latin America), and Religion. I'm fascinated by how religion and politics are both seemingly interconnected, especially in Latin American institutions. That being said, I do consider myself a nerd, but I love to have fun as well.

Here is the link to my blog. Read it and message me what you think: (please be aware though that my thoughts range from cynical to happy to random stuff, though it does reflect my personality quite well): http://charmedfreak289.livejournal.com/

PHILOSOPHY

Growth is a personal journey, fulfilled through enlightenment and inner peace.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I can be at times a cynical person, but my collective couchsurfing experience has renewed my faith in humanity. I've surfed, hosted and met so many wonderful people through here that I want to continue learning and gaining hope for this world.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite authors are: Dante, Dostoevsky, Bronte, Steinbeck, Emerson, Thoreau, and countless others. Needless to say, I read a lot and love a great book.

A book everyone must read is: Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts

As for movies and music, I'm definitely a fan and will see/listen to anything that has a great plot and beat.

Teach, Learn, Share

Everyone has something to teach. We are all here to learn. And foremost, for this to happen, we must all share. Let us first start with a handshake, a hug, or a kiss on the cheek and we'll take it from there.
