About Me

I lived in co-operative housing for two years in college and get along with people easily, am good at sharing. etc. I'm currently continuing my training in Minneapolis and am not really sure where I want to live next, so I try to take advantage of every opportunity to explore new areas of the US. I love hearing about people's lives, picking people's brains. I think it's a really powerful and beautiful thing to share the quotidian moments with people and is the best way to get to know people and grow/practice empathy. I LOVE learning languages, and hope to make more time for that!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted through couchsurfing once, and have hosted applicants to my school many times. It is always so fun to hear people's stories, and have the kind of conversations that only seem to happen between people staying under the same roof. I'm inspired by a couple friends who have hosted extensively and had a wonderful experience, I'm hope some day be a frequent host!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had an amazing experience staying with several gracious hosts while applying to residency programs in different areas of the country a couple years ago.

Interests

I'm pretty big on intentional/co-operative living, and community engagement. Podcasts I like: 99% Invisible, Ear Hustle, This American Life. As far as comedians, I like Tig Notaro and Aziz Ansari a lot.
I'm interested in medicine, global health, geriatrics, and public health policy. I also enjoy cross stitch and picking through guitar chords twice a year.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you my fail-proof method of sprouting avocado pits. With the right tools I can fix several minor bike problems. That's mostly all I've got. I LOVE playing cards and can teach you some great games.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Happy to share some great conversation! Would love to help with chores, I enjoy cleaning and I'm pretty handy with fixing things. I'm happy to provide verification of who I am, such as place of employment, photos of work IDs, things that might help folks feel more at ease about opening up their home.
