ABOUT ME

I've been a runner for sometime but I plan on balancing that passion by cooking and traveling more often. Lately I've been trying to find or create balance in my life by letting things be how the universe wants them which is tough sometimes because I'm driven to ensure my future is one I'm excited about.... and it is. I love living and having adventures. To me that's what life is all about because you only get one!

PHILOSOPHY

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm open, honest, realistic, safe and trustworthy. I expect the same from others I am willing to host because you can learn as much from other people's stories as you can from your own experiences. Ithaca isn't exactly destination number 1 but I've got a little place here and a stocked pantry.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Formally none. However, flying back to Oregon from Ithaca in December I did accept a ride from a fellow traveler in the same situation to get to Albany New York from Syracuse. We got a motel room one night and to my very caring family members perhaps that wasn't the most "safe" way to get home but it worked out and I have faith that the kindness we have to complete strangers is what makes the human experience real and valuable.

Interests

Learning... anything and everything. Running, Climbing, Paddling, cooking, self improvement, writing, teaching, traveling duh. Creating laughable moments from otherwise bummer situations.

I can clean a Whisperlite stove and gut fish. I'm very encouraging and a good listener, My family is English, Mexican and American so there have been several learning experiences growing up with them.
I want to learn the absolutely best proven way to peel an avocado.
