ABOUT ME

Well, I'm a girl who grew up in northern Germany as one of 3. It's a great place to grow up but I always wanted to see the world. So I left home after graduating school and went to the States and down under for 2 years. I was an Au-Pair in the States for 4 kids and absolutely loved it. The time off sometimes even more of course ;-) I've seen a lot of the US during that year and really enjoyed my 8 weeks of travelling at the end of my year. Still can't believe how amazing and breathtaking some of those National Parks were. After that I wanted to have some more freedom whilst travelling and went to NZ and OZ for a year. What should I say. Had another, completely different, awesome year.
Then I went back to Germany for two years, to study and try to keep some of the couriosity and excitement from travelling for the everyday life.
Loved the life in my shared apartment, to hang out with my friends, read to relax and to party it up in Berlin of course.

NOW I'm in Nancy, France for a year to finish my course over here and have this awesome feeling of international exchange again. The 100 international students from 17 different countries in my course are all great, very different but incredibly interesting.
I will try to travel around the area for a bit, while I'm here.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I did a trip around Euope with a friend last summer and slept on many couches. The experiences were absolutely awesome. Before that I couchsurfed in Frankfurt for 2 weeks before Uni had started whilst doing a pre-course and looking for an apartment. When I lived there I had a couple of people stay with me and it's always been loads of fun.
Hosting people and returning the favour was great as well, especially experiencing what it is like to be on the other side.

Interests

Biggest interest is probably to see as much of the world as possible. I just love to travel, meet new people and learn new things. But I guess everyone get's addicted to travelling as soon as they start.
Can't wait to finish Uni and hit the road again for about 2 to whatever many years :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I love to read! Favourite books atm: Hermann Hesse-Narziss und Goldmund; George Orwell-1984; Harper Lee-To kill a Mockingbird; J.D. Salinger-The Catcher in the Rye and loads more.
Love Woody Allen Movies. I also like: Forest Gump, Amélie, Blow, Dances with Wolves, Once, American Beauty, Garden State, Fight Club
In Music I like pretty much everything except for hardcore stuff. Love Indie, Rock, Jazz, Classical, Acoustic... Really into the Ben Howard and the new Mumford and Sons album atm.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing and scariest thing I've ever done was my bungy jump. I almost peed my pants before I went. Can't wait to do it again :D
Traveling around the States, seeing all those NPs, snorkeling at the Great Barrier Reef, flying into the Grand Canyon with a Helicopter... Too many awesome things :-)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach some words in German, how to make a tasty Risotto and a crispy pizza dough. I'd love to learn absolutely everything I don't know, can't do or don't understand right now. And I can share some great moments from my travels.
