ABOUT ME

Hi!!I'm Jiyoon, a Korean girl who want to have good experiences with many friends~
I can say I'm very positive and enthusiastic~I love to have various experiences, especially meeting people. That is why I enjoy traveling by myself, because it gives me chances to have more experiences. This year I'm so excited about going to Europe!!
My nikname here in Korea is 'Goguma'which means sweet potato~It is because when my mom was pregnant, she dreamed sweet potato(Korea has some tales about dreams) and she said that sweet potato refered me! Sweet potato means 'great person' in Korea. Since it is based on soil, people who are like this vegetable are generous and ambitious. I can say I'm pretty much like sweet potato. I'm sweet and have my own goal^^ I hope I can have lots of good experiences by couchsurfing~!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'd never experienced couch surfing before because I knew this site few days ago. But I had some homestaying experiences before. In Japan I stayed with Japanese family for 1 week and it was really a great experience. They took me to Yokohama and we traveled around the tower and many attributes. Also the food was great!!The noodle,sushi and miso was so delicious. At the end, they made me a book with our photoes in it. They were so nice and I still make a contact with them. Staying with local people really makes travelers to think much about the country and culture. Hope to have similar experiences by this site!

Interests

I'm interested in traveling~Since I'm majoring in Tourism I love to search information on traveling spots and experiences. Every year I try to travel as many as possible~This year I'm planning to go to Europe and I'm so excited.
Also I love watching dramas. Korean, Japanes and American dramas are my favorites. I like it because it makes me to relax and to know about other aspects. In Korea, there are many historical ones, and it is great to think about to history once again.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like almost all kinds of music. But since I love wathcing dramas and movies I enjoy listening to OSTs ~
These days in my mp3 there are full of OSTs,,my favorite one is 'Only human'(This is Japanese song) and 'Here with me' which was the background music in 'Love actually'. Movies ,, I like something bright and happy ending. For example, 'Bring it on', 'Music and Literature' ,'Harry porter' and so on.
For books, I enjoy reading novels~My favorite author is Paulo Cohello. He always tells people to enjoy our life and to follow our heart. I

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I visited Iguacu waterfall in Brazil, I was so astonished about the size and wonder of nature. Though it was very dry period, the abudance of water made me amazed. I just saw that scene for 1hour ,,without any thinking but just standing there. It was a great moment of my life.
