About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I am no longer complacent with being stuck in the leadbelt of southeast Missouri. It is now time for me to experience life outside my home state.
ABOUT ME
After contemplating the well-overused phrase "I'm in a transitional period in my life", I have come to the conclusion that life is one big transitional period. There's no sense trying to identify mood after transient mood after temporal thought. Life is an ever expanding and contracting progression in and through space-time. I am a somewhat average human being thrown into the whirlwind of being, and luckily for me, I've decided to become much more interested in my surroundings as of late.
PHILOSOPHY
My philosophy dips and peaks. I've recently found my life situation drasticly different that that of the last three years and I'm starting to come to terms with the fact that life is, as Bill Hicks put it, "...just [a ride]... that you can get off at any time" The feeling that your own personal experience in life is entirely based on your priorities and your perspective had been interesting, yet baffling to me in the past; it seems suddenly clear at the present.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
It's a wonderful thing to share your experiences with other human beings. If you can't tell a story, it's imperative that you involve yourself in an adventure that is worth expressing to the world.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My couchsurfing experiences have alternated solely amongst friends directly in my comfort zone. In an ever-expanding conscious universe, one can only grow by increasing his or her experiences in any venue. This is what I hope to accomplish
Interests
After about three years of playing music in a local-only hardcore/metalcore band, I took a two year hiatus. I've recently picked my acoustic back up and am now in the throws of a beginner blues frenzy. I'm mostly listening to any blues I can pick up, John Coltrane, Thelonius Monk, Regina Spektor, Fionna Apple, and absolutely any group or artist that interests me. I occasionally write, most notably a group of corresponding zombie shorts and other tidbits of screenplays. I'm enraptured by all forms of artistic expression.

Music, Movies, and Books
Some of my favorite films include: Donnie Darko, Resevior Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill (I and II), and the ilk, anything involving the walking dead, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Salton Sea, assorted horror/slasher films, The Departed, Shadow of the Vampire (John Malkovitch, Willem Dafoe), The Boondock Saints, well written "guy/crime/mobster/etc." films, Forrest Gump (yeah), the Batmans, A Scanner Darkly, Waking Life, and so many more, still packed in a trash bag downstairs that I can't think to mention right now. I wish I could say that I've spent some time in the library, but I've sqandered my reading time by searching for film. A few of my favorite authors are Charles Bukowski, Jack Kerouak (need more of), Garrison Keillor - though he wouldn't hold a candle to the others, Chuck Palahnuik, Kurt Vonnegut, and all the others I've yet to read. - Oh, and J.K. Rowling.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Events of true significance are yet to come...
Teach, Learn, Share
Above all things, I consider myself an authority on Zombie Physiognomy. lol! If this isn't up your alley, so to speak, I can make almost anything taste good with the requisite accoutremont. I intended to attend St. Louis, MO's L'Ecole Culinaire, but I'm starting to think that I'd do myself far more benefit by roaming around and being in local cuisine, rather than learing from someone who's learned from someone else. I know a bit about almost any practical subject. Just ask. I can help, or I can learn.
