About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To drink coffee in every country on earth.

ABOUT ME

I am a student of life - from September until June I study physics and math, and from July until August I catch up on literature, camping, culture, and cuisine. I have also been known to read, run, and play piano. This summer I'm working in Oldenburg, Germany.

PHILOSOPHY

...Where should I start?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've been hosted once through CS, but I haven't yet hosted or guided any travelers. I study during most of the year - in a small, out-of-the-way town, so I don't see many of them.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Was kindly hosted in Thailand for about 1 week, but that's it so far.

Interests

Maintaining my happiness, and spreading it whenever possible.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have recently been reading all of the Tolstoy and Gandhi that I can find - Dostoevsky as well.

I play classical piano, and enjoy especially Bach's Well Tempered Clavier, Beethoven's Piano Sonatas, and Chopin's Nocturnes. (But when I feel like acting my age, I listen to Radiohead, Tool, Incubus, and System of a Down.)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Places of prayer (no matter the faith) always fascinate me. In a Hindu temple on a hilltop in Hyderabad, I experienced my greatest elation to date.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am an expert in the English language, as well as the lifestyle of California - and especially the San Francisco Bay Area. It's pretty complicated.

From personal interest I know a bit about literature and philosophy, and I enjoy sharing my favorite philosophies and authors, as well as learning about new ones.

I can play piano and read sheet music - with a bit of improv.

And of course I am a science student - so if you seek knowledge of math, physics, or maybe even chemistry, I may be able to help.

Countries I’ve Visited

India, Italy, Slovakia, Sweden, Thailand

Countries I’ve Lived In
