COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Random encounters in NYC, london, portland, OR, where strangers have invited me over for late drinks/local customs and I end up on their couch/floor. good times. I've had random folks/bands stay at houses of mine through the years at mine and their invitation.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

A vicious gale in Florida everglades that we could see speeding towards us. when it hit our camp on the beach our turtled canoes flipped over and a few of the tents were ripped up. The air was so still and quiet before the fast wind and rain hit us- much lightning in the wake of the initial wind front.

to make beer easily and cheaply- find a quantity of fresh or dried herbs (a type you know some about - what it does medicinally/flavor wise - eg. lavender, nettles, borage, etc..) make a strong tea (about an hour boil) of it, sweeten it well (roughly 3 lbs. of sugar [raw, brown, or white- depending on flavor and color] to one gallon of water), and pour this into a (impt! - plastic or glass) container to cool.

This vessel (clean it well!) should hold the quantity of beer you wish to make, just add more water along with the sugared herb water (the 'wort') until it's almost full; leave some room for the yeast to bubble. Allow this to cool until room temp (70 Fahrenheit) and add some yeast (bread maker's is fine, but there's wild yeasts too) to it. Cover with a couple of layers of cheesecloth and let sit in a warm, but dark, place for a week, or until the bubbles dissipate. Bubbles should form on the top within a few hours of pitching yeast, so I hope it does. (rooms that are typically dark house less flies that can contaminate your brew- plus light ruins the flavors of your concotion)

After the beer has bubbled, clean some bottles (well) that you can seal (well), and add 1/2 teaspoon of sugar (best if sugar is diluted in a little water) to each bottle if you want carbonated beer -- if you desire draught style, don't add sugar -- pour beer in and seal closed. Leave in a coolish, dark place for 7 - 10 days (usually flavor gets better with age- but don't wait too long), then (chill) drink!

want to learn how to express myself on musical instruments, always up for jamming on anything that can make a sound. sharing poems or pictures is an experience I don't have a lot of experience with.
