About Me

ABOUT ME

I don't like to describe or talk about myself, I prefer to know people and then everyone as its own opinion. But I'm friendly and I like to meet new people!
I was a travel agent for almost 10 years, so travelling was a big part of my life. Now, not so much, there isn't time for everything... I work in the City Hall, with tourists!

PHILOSOPHY

That's a hard question...
I try to live my life the best I can, we only have one life and we never know for how long. So I try to make it worth! And I always try to enjoy everything I do, I think it is the most important thing we can do for ourselves.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My couch might be available and I can show you around if I have time!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far all the experinces I had were great, met great people and had a good time. I hosted people from Poland, Belgium, Australia, Germany, Ireland, Portugal, Brasil and Slovenia.
I was hosted only once, in Lisboa, and it was also a great experience!

Interests

Don's have much free time, and most of the one I have I spend it with my son! But I try to have some time to read, for music, movies, series and being with friends!

Music, Movies, and Books

Two of the best movies I've seen lately were 'Once' and 'Grand Torino'.
A good book I recommend, 'The white tiger' from the indian Aravind Adiga. The last one I read was 'The Kindness of Strangers', a Lonely Planet edition, wich fit perfectly on the couchsurfing spirit, I think!
Music... Well, I could mention a lot of things, but Beirut, Radiohead, Tindersticks, Portishead, Antony & Johnsons, Cat Power, Gotan Project, Iron and wine, Rufus and Martha Wainright, Joan as a Police Woman, Kings of convenience, Lambchop, Massive Attack, Nitin Sawhney, Yael Naim and Yan Tiersen are definitely some of my favourites. I love music and I love discovering new things, so I'm always opened to your suggestions!
The same for books and movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The sunset in the desert is one of the most amazing things I've ever seen!
Visiting Alhambra, in Granada!
Jma el Fna square in Marrakech!
Inle Lake in Myanmar!
Being a single mom of an amazing kid!!

Teach, Learn, Share

Anything I know it is always a pleasure to share with other people. Anything you can teach be, I'll be happy to learn.
I need to improve my french, so those who speak french are on my top list!

Countries I’ve Visited

Andorra, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Cabo Verde, Croatia, Dominican Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Morocco, Myanmar, Poland, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In
