ABOUT ME

It's hard to say, but in a nutshell - I'm a good person. At least I spend my time trying to be. I guess I'm a reasonable conversationist, I'm fairly curious, I love to read, and quite often try to figure out what is the meaning of life, at least to me. I think you and I can become good friends.

PHILOSOPHY

Like everybody, I hope to become enlightened one day. Perhaps there is no meaning to nothing that we do, and the human project would some day collapse unto itself. But until than, I live and act according to the assumption that

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Surfing mostly, but I did have a chance to host some surfers at my flat.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I got to meet incredibly nice and generous people. Not all the people I have surfed their couch were couchsurfers. some were just local people who invited me in as I was along my way, which i still consider as surfing a couch.I have come to the conclusion that the vast majority of people on this planet are good. It can't be otherwise.

Interests

traveling, hitch hiking, reading, writing (adamshahaf.blogli.co.il. at the moment written in Hebrew, sorry all non hebrew people), running, cycling, getting lost and finding my way, getting hungry and eating, meeting new people.
Learning theory and practicality, learning languages.

Playing soccer really bad. It's all about chasing the ball.

Music, Movies, and Books

** Movies ** - It's difficult to gather them all at once! I want an alternative frame of reference!! But if I have to try hard- Pulp Fiction, Cloud Atlas, and, Dune I guess (don't tell anyone)

Books - I really like Shakespeare's. Mostly Romeo and Juliet. That Mercutio character is definetly something.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hitching on a boat from Phuket to Sri Lanka and form Sri Lanka to Phuket; Leading a group of moderate left-winged politically involved students in University.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: origami cranes, how to get lost on the way, how to spend a lot of time on a hard seat train, fundamentals of biology, free diving and scuba diving theory, how a submarine dives.
Share: semi wild hitch hiking stories, hiking adventures.
Learn: everything you are willing to teach, hopefully how to achieve world domination.

Countries I’ve Visited

China, France, India, Laos, Mongolia, Nepal, Russian Federation, Spain, Sri Lanka, Thailand

Countries I’ve Lived In

Israel
