ABOUT ME

What used to be called middle-aged - now it's young mature. We're originally from opposite ends of this huge country, but are now happily settled in Denmark on the south coast of Western Australia - 400 kms from the most isolated capital on earth. Gregarious, adventurous couple wanting to learn more about the world, its people, and its cultures; to encourage others to do likewise; to travel as sustainably as possible in the process, and that means not using 5-star hotels with their huge water consumption and throw-away everything.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is for today, but we must keep life in the planet for those who are to follow. A sense of community - local as well as global - is one way to ensure that happens. CS is a wonderful way to foster community.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We've been away from Couchsurfing for a while, but now we're back! We enjoy the inter-generational exchange of ideas, so we welcome people of all ages, and want to encourage other forward-thinking mature people to participate.
As members of the Slow Food movement, we're also exploring the informal idea of Table Surfing - hosting meals for couch-surfers, even if they 're staying on someone else's local couch.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Amazed at how quickly we have had responses, and happy to see that Couchsurfing is still alive and well after so many years. It shows that there are good people in the world.
