About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see the world, one country at a time.

ABOUT ME

Like most people I love to travel, and when I travel I like to meet new people living the places I visit, and fellow travellers to share the experience with.

When i'm not working, I do the same as everybody else.
I see my family and friends, hit town once in a while, enjoy the weather and all that

Besides that I play airsoft, dance a bit of tango, ride the motorcycle in the countryside, or just relax on the couch with a good movie or book.

My favourite vacation is a vacation where I’m free to be impulsive, and I can’t lay around on a beach for 7 days in a row. Last time I tried, I got bored halfway through the second day ;-)

So it’s much better for me to visit a picturesque country side or walk around an unfamiliar town, getting a glimpse of everyday living in the places I visit.
I like to plan things myself, and being able to use time on interesting stuff on the way. And prefer a car or motorcycle if I have to leave town.

I also like active holidays with a bit of action, for which reason skiing has become a favourite of mine in recent years.

My next travelplans are the mallorca tango festival in October, and probably either a small roadtrip around Jutland or the Hamburg area in end of august, depending on the arrangements i can make :-)

PHILOSOPHY

Must come up with something one day

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Not much, joined last summer, and besides joining a cs party with good friends and fellow travellers, I haven’t been much active. But hope to meet up with some great people through this site in the future.

I was hoping to do some couchsurfing on Cuba January 2010, but as this is illegal in Cuba, and due to my lacking planning abilities and often limited webaccess on Cuba, it didn't really happen.

Music, Movies, and Books

I watch and listen to everything.

Preferring movies with a twist over standard hollywood productions(though I do see them as well). Or movies in languages uncommon to me, as I for some reason think it brings a bit of authenticity to the story not understanding what they say :-)
A few favourites of mine:
El orfanato
Sixth Sence
El laberinto del Fauno
O Brother where art thou
Moulin Rouge
Original Star Wars Trilogy
The Crimson Pirate
Natural Born Killers

I listen to almost everything, and these days I'm mainly listening to Buddha bar, Rammstein, tango balcan, alternative rock and symphonic metal.

I read a book once in while, but rarely have the time for it. Reading a mix of historic literature, classics, stories with a twist and horror/thriller.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Most amazing thing seen was a Total solar eclipse from a small mountaintop in Austria. Seeing the shadow of the moon racing by and engulfing the valley below, seconds before day turned into night. A thing everybody should do at least once in life.

And no, the 90% eclipses aren't the same. At all ;-)

Countries I’ve Visited

Andorra, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, China, Croatia, Cuba, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Denmark
