About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learn, learn, learn... Love, love, love... Laugh, travel, eat, dance :).

ABOUT ME

I have taken a year off to travel and work around Armenia and Europe. I have had some amazing experiences recently - WWOOFing on a farm in south africa, volunteering with some very smart and creative kids in Armenia, and experiencing the loving community of Taize in France. I am feeling grateful lately. Grateful for all these opportunities I had, all the people I met, and all the amazing places I know are still out there to be explored.

I am going back to university in the fall to finish up my studies in the Classics and Philosophy. I'm not sure what's next - but whatever it is I hope I keep learning. They say the more you learn, the less you know. I could be a satisfied student all my life, because it's true - there is always so much more to learn !

I have a lot to learn about myself too so this is hard to write.

I adore new people, cultures, and places and learning from them all. But I also love my old friends, my family, and home. I'm always hoping I don't gain one at the expense of the other.

I do my best to ride the waves of life when they come along, and try not to take life too seriously :p.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe all people are inherently good. Trust people, and they will trust you back.

We are more similar than we think - you & I.

Live and learn. No regrets, please. Don't waste our one precious, wild life :).

Don't take life so seriously.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I got my CS profile ages ago after the urgings of a friend, but it took me foerever to actually start participating (due to a lack of need, not interest).

I finally attended several CS gatherings and meetings earlier this year when I lived in Armenia, and I just started actually using it to surf (around Europe :] ), and attend epic metro parties ;).

I'll be traveling for awhile more, but hope to be able to offer a couch - or at least coffee and pointers around my town - soon. This fall.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been blown away by all my couch surfing experiences thus far. They exceed my expectations every time and remind me how awesome people can be !

Interests

Reading, talking, writing, traveling (obviously), running, guitar, wandering.

Music, Movies, and Books

The Breakfast Club, Grease, The Bourne Identity, The Matrix, Inception, Ever After... more that I can't think of right now probably.

I'm a sucker for the timeless cassics in music - Beatles, Bob Marley, Bob Dylan, The Police. Some classical (Bach especially). And almost all folk music. The Once soundtrack. Sarah maclachlan, Tracy Chapman, Jason Mraz, Iron & Wine, some John Mayer, State Radio.

(Also - Am obsessed with good live music. On the streets, in coffee shops, in a church, small concerts...around a camp fire :). It takes my breathe away every time.)

Books are good. The Shadow of the Wind, The Pearl, Dante's Divine Comedio, Chaucer.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Vienna City Marathon. It is awe-inspiring what the human body - even the very young and very old, worn human body - is capable of.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm not sure I can claim to be an expert at anything, except maybe listening. I'm here if you need or want a place to unload your stories, joys, thoughts, troubles.

Although I'm much worse at talking than listening, I can also share mine ;).

I make mediocre coffee, and good tea. Will almost always be up for a a run or a walk with you.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Austria, France, Georgia, Germany, Mexico, South Africa, Spain, Swaziland, Switzerland, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

Armenia, Chile, Mozambique, United States
