About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to be inspired and inspire

ABOUT ME

I live in a large shared house in Hackney, London without a spare room or even a sitting room so unfortunately cannot currently host.

PHILOSOPHY

Be the change you want to see in the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Participation has so far been limited to hosting and surfing, though there does seem to be interesting things happening in CSgroups I've joined and I'd like to get more involved. Time is a bit rare these days.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had several surfers to my old flat in London and enjoyed fantastic hospitality last summer on my adventures to San Francisco and Burning Man. I've been in households where we've hosted people before when I lived in Nottingham, met some amazing people and will do so again when I have a couch!

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm currently reading Hunter S. Tompson's 'Fear and Loathing'. Alongside the more sociological 'Dancing in the Streets: a history of collective joy' by Barbara Ehrenreich.

Some of my favourite films: 'The Lives of Others', 'Withnail & I', 'Little Miss Sunshine', 'American History X', 'The Edukators', 'Delicatessen'...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I cycled 300 miles to Scotland when it hosted the G8, to try and shut them down. That part wasnt entirely successful but the journey with 50 activists who started as strangers but ended as family was one of my most powerful ones so far. I learnt a lot about the kindness of strangers, amazing communities throughout the UK, saddle-sores, bonding through shared passion, solidarity and sisterhood.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach hooping, basic camera and editing skills, and I'm a qualified ski-instructor, but not heading for snow...
