About Me
Hello peeps!
I am Marco, your friendly curly-hair neighbor, recently moved back to my home town after some years abroad. Currently I am working at the Italian Institute of Technology doing chemistry magic and I am active in a science popularization collective doing... well... some sort of communication I guess? Everything seems to go smoothly.
Some people say I am nice and cool to hang out with because I smile a lot and I know a lot of things, yet I have to warn you that other people don't like me that much so don't take the 'nice and cool' thing for granted: we will just need to meet and find out.
I am passionate about many things, good at some of those, still enjoy the rest of them. At the moment I am trying to find less time possible to clean the mess in my room and in my life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have been on CS for a looong time! I had the chance to make someone else's trip better, discover new places and people, and meet dear friends. It was a good ride...
Now that I am back in Pisa and I have my own place I will be able to host again and I am really looking forward to it!
Interests
Mostly I like talking. And drinking. Better when combined.
Then I like other things. I like being on a stage, whether I am on it for talking science to people or to entertain an audience with a good night of theatre or improv comedy.
I also like being on mountains, no matter if winter or summer, I just change the boots I have on. I have a lovely house in the mountains close by, and that is probably my favourite place in the world.
I read a lot of books, usually a novel and a science or philosophy essay at the same time, and watch a lot movies, especially at the art house cinema downstairs.
Never start talking with me about scientific topics when I am drunk... Unless you are willing to go on until 5 am.
I graduated in chemistry and I like science things, if you're ever drinking with me NEVER mention any of those things unless you really want to talk about them until the hangover the morning after. Your call.
