Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I surf couches when I travel, and I invite surfers to my couch, although I currently live in a less than interesting location for people to travel to, as it's a small town rather removed from urban areas.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing is the only way to travel. I've met some truly excellent people that I never would have otherwise, and had such genuine experiences. It has enriched my life beyond measure.

Interests

I'm interested in: travel, languages, yoga, music, cooking, reading, films, cycling, running, tattoos...
One of my favorite things to do is sit with coffee in the morning and prepare for the day... and then get going! I love going to little markets, and walking around new cities for hours, getting lost and found again.
I like trying new food, listening to new music and going to live music concerts. I love cooking for people, and I hope to have my own garden one day to grow my own vegetables.

Music, Movies, and Books

Some recent favorite books are The Road Home, The Time Traveler's Wife, and The Josephine B. Trilogy.
Music... Arcade Fire, The National, Death Cab for Cutie are what I'm currently listening to.
Some favorite movies are L.A. Confidential, Kontroll, and Le Fabuleux Destin D'Amelie Poulain.
Really, I enjoy reading, listening and watching all genres.
Some favorite tv shows are Six Feet Under, Grey's Anatomy, Dexter, and Californication. (guilty pleasures)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing travel experience I've had was going to Gyeoung-Ju, the ancient capital of South Korea. I hiked, quite lost, through mountains which are covered with shrines, hermitages, and some temples. Standing in the Seokguram Grotto in front of the Buddha was an indescribable feeling.

Teach, Learn, Share

I practice yoga, and love to share my appreciation for it. I am also a coffee-lover and will share my passion for coffee with any and all. I'm always open for trying new things and firmly believe that you learn something new every day.
