About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To make it Antarctica to do research ;-) ...(and in the meantime continue falling head over heels in love with scandinavia)

ABOUT ME

I'm studying Veterinary Medicine at Murdoch in Perth. I moved over here from the East coast and am getting used to the much more laid back lifestyle here on the west :-)
Obviously i love animals. I'm fairly obsessed with conservation and when i graduate am planning on working with vets beyond borders. I'm going to do a conservation medicine course in Kruger in June 2011 so am very very excited about that! Antarctica is my ultimate dream and i WILL make it there one day.
I LOVE music and plan most of my year around the numerous music festivals Oz has to offer. Other than that my main passion is travel - im always planning my new adventure :-)
I love scuba diving, running, and am getting into bike riding also love chilling out with my friends and taking time out to relax (relaxing is becoming a necessity to survive vet).
I also like making ridiculous costumes and clothes, which are completely impracticle but so much fun to wear for a day.

PHILOSOPHY

I think animals need more help than people...and im not going to stop trying to help until i feel ive made a difference in the world. Hopefully this journey takes me to some interesting places along the way :-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I found out about this when i was in Scandinavia and it just blew my mind. I think its an awesome idea, i know people dont really have a lot of money when travelling (im the ultimate budget traveller) and i'd love to show people around. I just want people to have an awesome time in the most awesome country in the world and see it through the eyes of a local ;-)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Went to Iceland - it was INCREDIBLE!
saw the blue lagoon and gulfoss, went rafting, ice climbing, and also went diving at Silfra - which is a crevice between the Eurasian and North American Plates - the water vis is like 100m - insane! and the water comes from a glacier -super cold but super clear :-) it was my first dry suit dive - i think i like my wet suits haha
Also went to egypt a while back, climbed mt Sinai -for sunrise - such an awesome site. Egypt in general is unforgetable. Went hot air ballooning over the valley of the kings, cant describe how magnificent it was. basically - i think everywhere i have travelled has been amazing in some way or another.
travelling around the best country in the world (oz) and seeing the mass changes in scenery that comes with it (especially on the west coast).....and random fwd'ing and rock climbing in the dark...good times
ive seen some pretty amazing things while doing my zoology and vet degrees and yeh....too much to add here but i'd be happy to go through it if you visit :-)
