Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To learn Portuguese, travel the world, meet new people, and to have as much fun as possible throughout.
ABOUT ME
Writing about myself only shows half of the picture, so I might as well paint it nice. :) So, my name's Michael, I'm from Slovakia, I lived 4 years in Thailand when I was a kid, I spent a year as an Erasmus in Coimbra, Portugal (where I returned later for one more semester cause I loved it) and I lived in San Diego for a year (worked in an Indian restaurant in downtown).
About my personality, I'm simply awesome, very down to earth, and funny, also quite easy to talk to and approach. (hahaha let's wait for the testimonials and comments to set this straight ;) I guess I'm quite passionate about sports (mainly football), politics, movies, the world in general and how it has been and IS run.
Seriously though, it's best to just see for yourself or ask a particular question.
PHILOSOPHY
Don't really have one...I think life's too complicated and throws too many things at you to be summarized by a sentence or to be satisfactorily covered by a single philosophy...although I have to admit that some of the ones I found here on Couchsurfing sound awesome. :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm pretty new here, but I already volunteered to translate this portal into Slovak, to leave my mark in Couchsurfing history...no reply yet so we'll see how it works out. :D
Interests
Traveling of course and all the things related (meeting new people, seeing new things, new realities - except maybe for the 'traveling' part itself - probably cause I travel by RyanAir and other low costs so often :D)
Reading (lately mainly school related - philosophy, history, development, sexuality, politics), and especially my book that tries its best to teach me Portuguese, although I'm making it difficult :D
Watching movies/series/listening to music
Sports - both actively and passively (Gym, Muay Thai, Football, Swimming, ...)
And of course partying when the right place, people and atmosphere meet - which was way too often lately :)
