ABOUT ME

I'm originally from South Carolina and have spent the last six years living a quarter mile from the ocean; you just can't tell because I can't tan...I just burn.

I've spent the past two years in Afghanistan making the world a safer place. I have enough stories to make at least two direct to DVD movies, a really bad USA original series, and maybe even a Lifetime movie. Before saving the world, I was a police officer and I swear the writers of Reno 911 followed me around for a week getting show ideas. Ask me about tasing a guy in a wheelchair. And yes, he deserved it.

I'm pretty easy going, carefree, and I'm pretty sure I could make a friend out of a tree stump if I had to.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm very impulsive. I woke up one morning and wanted to see a Chicago Cubs game so I drove 15 hours to see the Cubs at Wrigley Field (which was totally worth the drive and the gallon of coffee I drank on the way back from the game). I've been to Philadelphia five times now because I periodically have cravings for Pat's steaks. Basically just live. Don't sweat the small things in life; enjoy what you have and what's around you.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm more than willing to help out CSers whenever I'm around. I currently don't have a couch and since I've returned to the US, I'm spening a lot of my time traveling and enjoying being back in civilization. I am looking to meet new people, and also to get a good feel for any of the local areas that I may visit.

Interests

I have three things to accomplish before I turn 30; 1) watch a MLB in every stadium, 2) do the Disney "Around the World" Drinking Tour and not pass out, and 3) grow a beard like a mountain man. So far I've accomplished two out of three. I'm going to have to extend this out to things to do before I turn 35 now.

I can pretty much listen to anything...except rap, and county, and gospel, and R&B, and Justin Beiber.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My name is written in the King's Palace and Queen's Palace in Kabul. I've been in the Khurd Kabul Pass where the British Army was massacred by the Afghans and I've walked in the footsteps of Alexander the Great inside a fort in Gardez.

I'm a Wii Bowling god! My Wii Golf game isn't that bad either. Oh, and I totally rock in Guitar Hero. I have some pretty BA stories and pictures, as well as possessing an arsenal of useless phrases in Russian and Dari.
