ABOUT ME

Me (29) and my wife Marina (28) are very down-to-earth people who loves spending time with friends, listening to samba and going to the beach whenever its possible. I am a geography teacher and also work on research on migrations at the university. Marina works for an association of restaurant and pubs, wich means we have great places to suggest to our guests.

We have no kids by now, just a dog, which is actually like a daughter to us. Pantufa, as we call her, is not very into other dogs but totally nice to people.

We prefer the day than the night, green and opened places than closed ones, walking than running, singing than dancing(faber), dancing than singing (marina), eating than cooking and laughing than crying.

We've hosted lots of people and till now just amazing experiences. Also, we surfed some couches in Chile and Europe and could meet unforgettable hosts.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

What brought us here was the intention to exchange experiences with people from all over the world ever they come to our city.

Interests

We try to spend our free times with friends, drinking some beer at home or going to nice opened spaces to feel the energy of people and nature. And, of course, we love travelling.

A little about music: we love samba (Paulinho da Viola, Martinho da Vila, Martnália, Aldir Blanc, Noel Rosa and much more) but we also listen other kinds of music, mostly brazilian singers, like Céu, Tulipa Ruiz, Vanessa da Mata, Los Hermanos. Faber has a special crush on Kevin Johansen songs, a singer from Argentina.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Diving on caribeean sea, walked up the machupicchu mountain, trekking at Chapada Diamantina, sunset at Ipanema beach.

Teach, Learn, Share

Faber can teach geography, how to play a pandeiro and how to prepare great mojitos. Marina is a great cooker and makes the best caipirinhas on earth.

Both of us are always open to learning and sharing.
