ABOUT ME

Our names are Myrthe en Emiel, a young Belgian couple who'd love to see more of the world. We've got little experience in backpacking but are doing the best we can to change that, this is were CS comes in.

We are both very curiuous people who are eager to see, feel and experience more then what our hometown offers.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

CS can offer us what we want by giving us students the opportunity to do what we've always wanted for a limited price. Ofcourse we would like to do the same in return. Travelling is only half the fun, it's meeting new people that makes an experience unforgettable.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As we said earlier, we've got little, though convincing, experience in travelling. We haven't done any couchsurfing yet but on our trip in Hungary we stayed at peoples homes, making new and interesting friends. A way of travelling we most enjoyed!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
We are both addicted to music, both listening and playing. He playing guitar and piano, she the saxophone. As for our specific interest: About everthing that's not made with a computer.
The fact that some artists can make music that gives us goosebumps is something we often think about. Artists like Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan and Marley, Santana, Van Morrison, Janis Joplin, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Frank Zappa, Tracy Chapman, Matisyahu, Deep Purple, Guns'n Roses, Led Zeppelin, Ray Charles, Johnny Cash, Project, Playing for Change, Howard Shore,...

Movies:
He is a great movie-fan, she often watches along. We're always looking for the selected few movies that make you think about them, weeks after you've seen them, movies that make you think differently.

Books:
We both love to read. Books are a way of 'escaping' real life for a few hours, that is for some books. A well written book has the power to completely take you away, leaving every worryful thought behind. More then a movie it leaves room for your imagination to run wild, exploring unexisting worlds.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last vacation in Hungary, after a nights singing in a local karaoke-bar somewhere center in Budapest, we impusivly decided to take of our clothes and launch ourselves into the Donau. We had to run away from several security guards but that was part of the fun.

He knows an amazing card trick, but then again, I can't teach you that cause it will spoil the fun!
