ABOUT ME

I am a very passionate and es-sensual person, who lives her life to the fullest...

I love to dance (for me, dance is connected to my whole being), I love to take pictures (so I can share my way of looking at the world around me with others), I love to write (so I can let my creativity celebrate on paper), I love to smile (thereby making others smile as well), I love to eat (vegetarian non-dairy food), I love to love (so every cel in my body can enjoy the beauty of life), I love to create (in so many different ways) and I love to be inspired by small things in life...

I choose life.

I studied graduate in Psychology in Antwerp (Belgium) and master in Cultural Anthropology and Developmental Sociology in Leiden (The Netherlands). I create articles and books as a freelance (travel) writer and photographer, and channel artistic poetry. I am a conscious dance entrepreneur and organizer, and support children and (young) adults through (the healing power of) dance, movement and awareness. I work as a Dj and facilitator for ECSTATIC DANCE BELGIUM and created my own conscious dance form: PLAYFUL BODY. At home, I give one-on-one Soul Coachings and Healings (making use of my life experiences and of Reiki). Travelling is a very important part of my life, as I see every journey as a dive in the unknown - and I always come back as a more inspired and wiser person!

I think the concept of CS is beautiful and I love to receive guests in our appartment!! It is so important to share our knowledge and experiences with others!!!!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have very very very very VERY GOOD experiences with couchsurfing! I met very inspiring people, some of whom became very dear friends...

Sometimes, I get male requests asking to meet up, have a coffee, be pen pals, etc. As I don't trust most of these requests (and I have my reasons), I would like to ask: please, only send me a request when you have a reason for it (such as looking for a place to sleep or other questions alike). I am NOT looking for a speed date, so I am not interested!

I am a DJ and a music lover: from funk and soul to balkan music and "world music"... Any music that touches the soul. Just to name a few:

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I experienced a very touching moment while doing voluntary work at the Sanved Organisation in Kolkata (India) in February 2010. In this organisation, women work with traumatised girls and women (who i.e. were victims of trafficking and prostitution) through the medium of dance therapy.

I was helping during a movement workshop with community girls... When I suddenly noticed their faces: I have never seen such a big smiles and I have never felt such a pure and energetic atmosphere in my life before! These girls have so many problems, but when they started dancing and playing, they opened up like a beautiful flower! It was amazing to experience!!

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: how to embody your body, how to listen to good music, how to be passionate about life and light your own SPARK again, how to be a soulful being wrapped up in a gorgeous human package and learning to accept your flaws, how to connect to your own Soul's calling.

Learn: photography, playing (Indian) flute, how to survive in nature.

Share: pictures, stories, experiences, a laugh, connection.
